I’ve been fascinated with camera lighting lately, especially the technique of capturing something using just natural lighting. We were having breakfast the other day and just when we were finishing up, I noticed this view waiting to be taken:
I was sitting across the window facing the morning sun. I was trying to capture that glint at the edge of the colander. It was more intense in real life and I wished I knew what setting to pull to get it. Nevertheless, I still liked how this one came out.
I also tried my hand at doing some selective coloring:
I rarely do any pixel pushing with my photos, opting to just do minor post processing in Aperture. I only have Photoshop Elements 7 so I was a bit limited. To achieve the effect, I followed this tutorial.
Have a nice day!
