Wow, it’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve got some work related stuff that I am doing which keeps me pinned to my workstation a lot. The work that I am doing is not the conventional Flash animation style of project, but rather it is more hand-drawn and really traditional. I’ve been doing a lot of hand drawings with the Cintiq and it has been really a grind!
I’ve also have not picked up my camera for quite some time since I returned back to working. It was a shame really because it’s been snowing a lot for the last couple of weeks and there probably are some good images out there waiting to be captured. Unfortunately, I’ve been in a creative rut photography wise lately so I have not been able to take any photos in the snow. Add the fact that the temperature outdoors are so bitterly cold!
I was able to grab some during an overnight stay at a brother-in-law’s house. Herewith are my share:
Oh, and one thing I’ve noticed lately here in Calgary is that more and more folks are putting up Christmas decorations! It was not like that when we first came here. I’ve asked some of my family members about it and they too noticed it. Honestly, my impression is that Halloween is a more popular holiday here than Christmas, but that seems not to be the case this year.
I wished I could take time out to take photos of those decorations, but again my work keeps me pinned down and that bitter cold is just too brutal for a photo walk.
One last thing: this might be our very first White Christmas! It’s been snowing almost non-stop and I have heard some forecasts that all these snowy goodness might stay just in time for the Yule Tide. Woohoo!
