I am having a great time enjoying my short vacation in between projects. I get to rest and at the same time practice some photography.
The camera I have right now, the Nikon D300, is a great camera to use, especially for low light photography. Last night, I had a chance to run it through its paces once more as we had dinner at the Calgary Tower, a landmark in downtown Calgary.
It was too late in the evening to take a photo of the tower itself so the only shot I had was from the restaurant high above the ground:
The food was great but it was too dark in the dining room of the restaurant to get a decent shot. The only one I got was from my drink:
The dark lighting in the restaurant sort of dulled my enthusiasm to take more photos. The presentation of the food was great, but I had no light to work with. Maybe next time we will go there when the sun is still up.
